The flag design, which Robert G. Heft designed as a school project in 1958, was accepted by the US Congress. The first American flag showed only 13 stripes and 13 stars in a circle. The stars and stripes represented the 13 colonies that got free from the British colony and declared their independence. There are 27 different versions of the American flag today. The 50 stars in the last flag represent the 50 states that formed today’s America.

It means that the USA is about half the size of Russia or 40 times the size of the UK. Additionally, the population of the USA was declared as 328.2 million in 2019. The largest country in the world is Russia and Canada is second. The USA follows in third place.

Although English is spoken predominantly within the country, there is no federal law that states that English is the official language. Although 31 states declared English as their official language, some states have two official languages.
The Statue of Liberty was a gift!
The Statue of Liberty was sent as a gift in 1886 from French people to the United States. The Statue of Liberty is one of the most iconic symbols of the USA and the world. It was sent as a gift to celebrate the 100th anniversary of French-American friendship. Furthermore, the monument is geographically located in New Jersey, although it is regarded as a part of New York for some reason.
The oldest university in the country is Harvard!
Harvard University, which has founded in 1636, is the first and oldest institution in America. Its alumni won 49 Nobel Prizes and 48 Pulitzer Prizes. The university also has the largest academic library system in the world. Notable alumni of the university include well-known names such as Mark Zuckerberg, Matt Damon, and Natalie Portman.
