10 Effective Ways To Rescue Your Child From Fear, Anxiety And Concern

Symbolic Metaphors

Whatever you plant in the land of your mind, you reap it. Your emotions are your body’s response to your thoughts. Fear, anxiety, and anxious thoughts create these feelings. The guided imagery techniques we’ll be describing now will teach you how to cleanse you or your child from these thoughts and feelings. Practice each technique yourself first and observe the results. In the process of coaching your child, you will find that you can eliminate their negative emotions with these techniques.

Balloon Technique

Now sit back and close your eyes. Imagine putting all your negative emotions, such as fear, anxiety, resistance, in a basket in your mind, and connect this basket to a helium balloon and watch them fly to the top of a distant mountain. Another method; is to write these feelings in your mind on a piece of paper, crumple them and throw them into this basket. You can then attach it to the helium balloon and imagine it going away.

Spiral Technique

Identify something that bothers you at about 3 levels on a 0-10 scoring scale.

  1. Reveal an image that expresses this to you.
  2. While thinking about the image that expresses this, pay attention to where you feel the discomfort in your body.
  3. Now assume that emotion is energy, if it is an energy spiral, in which direction is it moving, clockwise or counterclockwise?
  4. Now, gently change the direction of the energy spiral in your body with your mind. For example; If it was initially moving clockwise, gently turn it counterclockwise.

Silencing the Negative Inner Voice

Everyone has a voice inside that tells us what and why they can’t. Sometimes we call him the “saboteur” and sometimes the “depressed inner voice”. This voice, if not silenced, causes us to hypnotize and sabotage ourselves in its extremely deep hypnotic state and in the repetitive negative suggestions. What we have to do is get ourselves out of the way. You can follow the steps below to silence this inner voice.

1-Notice the negative inner voice.

2- Make him quiet by saying things like “shut up, shut up”.

3- Make a positive suggestion (usually the opposite of what the judgmental, accusatory inner voice says).

Do this every time you notice.

Managing the Mood

One of the main characteristics that distinguishes unsuccessful people from successful people; It is the ability to manage mood and situations. Mood is how we feel at any time of the day and changes constantly.

We need to be in a positive mood to do a job. The most favorable moods for our child to learn are when they are curious, interested, liked and excited. To be in a positive mood, be aware of what mood you are in at any given time. If that mood doesn’t support you for success, you should change it.

To change your mood:

• Move, fast if you are slow, slow down if you are fast. Change location. Walk.

• Smile, read fun things, watch, listen. When you smile, the happiness hormone is secreted in your brain.

• Say the name of someone you love. Think about it. Talk to him.

• If you know, do breathing exercises. If you don’t know, definitely learn.

• Remember a happy memory or think of something nice.
